The
Hydestor Royale Library System is a top of the line shelving
system which combines alloy and powder coated finishes into
an attractive vehicle for product presentation.
The system features not only a range of quality accessories
but is specially designed to carry internal wiring and cable
management facilities to service the latest communication
technology.
Upright posts are pre-punched to accept nylon grommets through
which cables may be trunked into either mid bays to the ends
of any stack of shelving. Royale library systems are manufactured
on a 'to order' basis in minimum quantities which generally
equates to a full library of approximately 200 bays.
FINISH
All shelving components undergo a three stage iron phosphate
pre-treatment and after oven drying, will be followed by electrostatically
applied powder coating which is then oven cured at 190ºC.
This surface is extremely durable and offers greater resistance
to abrasion chipping chemical attack and UV light than traditional
baked enamel when finished over a similar substrate.

UPRIGHTS
Section : 74 mm x 31 mm x 2 mm
Pitch : Dual slotted providing 25 mm incremental adjustment.
Material
The upright post section comes complete with a threaded footplate
welded into the bottom and locates into a socket which forms
part of the cast alloy leg.
An M10 x 50 set screw is installed through the bottom of
the cast alloy leg providing stability and this is further
enhanced by a grub screw, located within the side of the leg
socket. An allen key is necessary to secure this screw, whilst
the main bolt can be tightened with a socket set or wrench.
Each upright regardless of height, has four 35 mm diameter
holes into which polyethylene (plastic) cable management grommets
are fitted to allow cables to pass through without damage.
Legset
Manufactured from cast alloy the curved top is on a 1000
mm radius which matches the line created by other items in
the system. The leg is 65 mm wide and adjustability is accomplished
by utilising a 75 mm diameter screw in matching feet. Each
single leg is secured to the upright by utilising a captive
nut which eliminates the need for the M10 x 50 set screw required
in the double sided leg.

Fully welded inverted channel section, complete with two
safety studs which lock into upright internal slots.

All shelves are manufactured with dual folded edges front
and rear promoting strength and safety. 25 mm profile either
as flat shelf or with upturned rear wall. Canopy shelves come

ROYALE LIBRARY SYSTEM - ACCESSORIES
1. Cable Management
Facility
The purpose of these items is to provide for concealed ducting
of services throughout the shelving system. They are manufactured
in two sections. Firstly the base which is a perforated 'U'
section to allow a cooling surface over lighting transformers
and has a detachable cap which clips over the top. Within
the base unit there are matching holes which allow cables
to protrude into any bay. The total unit is installed into
the centre of any bay by locating on top of the back brace
(joiner). When combined with the pre-punched holes in the
upright posts it is possible to duct services such as computer
cables and/or lighting from points pre-set into the library
floor or down from the ceilings.
2. CD Storage Shelf
This is a perforated shelf 900 mm x 150 mm x 150 mm with
a U shaped groove running the length, located in the centre
of the bottom return. The shelf comes complete with built
in brackets and the purpose of the U is to allow CD's to be
optionally displayed either face or spine forward.
3. Cassette Storage Shelf
Identical to the above with the exception of bottom return
which is 75 mm to facilitate the smaller cassette.
4. CD Storage Bin
Constructed as a fully enclosed trough perforated to facilitate
the installation of stainless steel rods which act as product
guides allowing the CD to sit upright. This upright position
is maintained by bottom mounted spacers which control the
flow of product. These bins are 900 mm x 200 mm x 120 mm and
come complete with six spacers. The unit has brackets welded
to each end.
5. Cassette Storage Bin
Identical in principle, the CD storage bin but is 300 mm
deep and comes complete with 12 spacers.
6. Periodical Display Unit
Manufactured as perforated to match Royale componentry this
waterfall style unit comes complete with clear polycarbonate
upstands and built in brackets. The unit is 900 mm long with
four apertures and falls out from the post 280 mm being 315
mm in overall height.
7. 'Harp' End Panel
This comes in one standard height of 1580 mm and is designed
to suit both 700 mm and 500 mm leg styles. The actual positioning
of this panel on the upright determines the overall effect.
The end panels are fully perforated to match the Royale componentry
and items listed as 9, 10 and 11 below are dependant on their
use as they are designed to utilise the perforations for location.
8. Notice Boards (sets of 3)
A perforated set of notice boards hinged together to allow
for a variety of surface positions. Manufactured in the same
dimensions as the harp end panel style they come complete
with foam backing to facilitate pinning of notices. The accessories
listed as 9, 10 and 11 below can also be utilised n these
items.
9. Pamphlet Holders
A perforated U section 350 mm x 120 mm with a 25 mm return
manufactured with lugs on the rear which locate into the perforations
in either the harp end panel or notice board. Comes complete
with 160 mm high clear polycarbonate front.
10. Booklet Bracket
Similar to the above with dimensions of 160 mm x 65 mm with
a 50 mm return.
11. Booklet Display
Similar to those above with dimensions of 220 mm x 160 mm
with a 30 mm return also having an additional sloping face.
12. Standard Accessories
Accessories which appear in the standard range are also
compatible with the Royale range, however they do not have
matching perforations.
