Technical

Base lengths are 30mm longer than the sum of the shelving modules whilst the depth of the units are the sum of the shelf widths plus 40mm. When calculating actual required space add 10mm to base width.

Example. 3 bays 900mm x 400mm back to back = 2.730m x 840mm (850mm).

Installation

1. Tracks are fixed directly to floor. Where carpet is involved this is to be cut to allow the track firm fixing. Tracks are fixed on either side at 400mm centres with countersunk dynabolts. Allow 4 extra for joins in track. This track is 28mm overall height plus any packing (shims) required to level it.
2. At each end of any mobile base two chassis clips are fixed onto the base with two 6mm x 12mm gutter bolts. (Refer drawing).
3. Each mobile bay comes with 50mm high kickplates which are fixed down to the base with two 12g x 20mm steeltites.

4. Mobile handles MKII are fixed from the rear of end panels with four 6mm x 25mm grub screws. If steel cover panels are a requirement the fixings are 6mm x 35mm grub screws. In both cases allow for four 6mm flange nuts.

5. Static units either single or double faced are fixed directly to the floor with countersunk dynabolts on all four corners.

Base lengths are 30mm longer than the sum of the shelving modules whilst the depth of the units are sum of the shelf widths plus 25mm (single faced) or 40mm (double faced).

Components

Side rails, bearers and 8mm x 16mm button head cap screws. (Refer price list).

Statics

As such time as a single faced static unit is installed against a wall it is preferable to fix the unit at the top utilising “stand off brackets”. One per alternative bay. Fix to wall with appropriate fasteners and drill down through top shelf, fixing with 6mm x 12mm gutter bolts.

Weight Capacity

Series 100 bases have an evenly distributed load capacity of 400 kgs per bay.

Track Fixings

1. Countersunk 6.5 x 57mm dynabolts
3.5m 20 per length
2.3m 14 per length

2. Shims (Assorted)
3.5m 40 per length
2.3m 25 per length

Freighting Detail

Refer panel shelving detail plus weight information in price list for complete bases and mobile track.

Contract Assembly Times Clear Sites Metro Area (includes travel)
Allow 70 minutes per bay (mobile or static) plus an additional 30 minutes per complete base to pre-assemble.

This costing method includes allowance to cut, place and level the tracking system.

A further calculation of hours involved will be required when the installation is in a multi storey building and the subcontractor is required to place the material onto site.
