Technical
A. Drive Mechanism
A robust system of heavy duty chain, sprockets, solid steel wheels/axles and “sealed for life” bearings ensure a long trouble free life.

B. Safety Hand Wheel
Our heavy duty 3 spoke handwheel incorporates a safety “lock out” device which allows the user to lock units either side of the access aisle so other users cannot close the aisle while they are still in there without first disengaging the locks. This will of course bring them to the open aisle where they can check if there is still any other user in the aisle. (Each user should disengage locks after use).

C. Cover Panels
Our standard cover panel is 1000mm x 300mm and covers only the exposed drive mechanism on the end of each unit. For purely asthetic purposes we also offer a full height / full width end cover which extends top to bottom of the unit and between the panel rolled edges.

D. Maintenance
The design and construction of the system is such that minimal maintenance is required. We do however recommend the following annual checks.
1. Visual inspection of entire drive mechanism.
2. Check locking grub screws secure on bearings and drive wheels.
3. Check tension on chains. Adjust where necessary and lubricate lightly with chain oil.
These checks may be carried out by the users qualified maintenance staff or we will undertake on a charge up basis. (Typically 30-45 minutes on site time for each unit).

Weight Capacity
Series 100 mechanically assisted bases have an evenly distributed load capacity of 400 kgs per bay.
